About Us
Rob Boyce - former State Senator from New Hampshire

Thirty odd years ago my brother and I both decided we should pool
our talents for wood working and formed a company called Alpine
Custom Wood Products. He still maintains that name and
sometimes we work together on projects - like building whole
houses. I tend to prefer smaller projects - tables - chairs - cabinets
- carvings. Some recent examples are included here on the products
page.

While on hiatus from the legislature...

I am staying busy building products from wood. This is a
continuation of my contribution to the economy. During my time in
the legislature very little of what I did created economic stimuli. The
best I could hope for was to leave some extra dollars in the pockets
of the taxpayers so that they could make the economy grow (that is
in my opinion the way government should work).

Now by building furniture for sale I am taking a lower value
commodity - wood - adding a value (I hope) by crafting it into
furniture and thereby increasing the Gross National Product (as well
as my meager bank account). That is called capitalism.

No he is not a POW this is just where they
relax in Iraq. Notice the all American dinner
- hot dogs, orange soda, burgers and corn
on the cob (no bread - it goes stale too
quick, he does without). Also note the book
and the video game controller.
